Project authority and acceptable use
By submitting files, images, specifications, or a physical sample, the customer represents that they have the rights and authority needed for ForgeMade 3D to evaluate, reproduce, modify, and manufacture the requested item. The customer must disclose known hazards and intended use.
We may decline a project that appears illegal, unsafe, infringing, deceptive, outside current capability, or prohibited by our Prohibited Projects policy. Acceptance of a file for review is not acceptance of the project.
Quotes, revisions, and approval
Public price hints are starting points. Final price, quantity, scope, material, color, process, lead time, tolerances, post-processing, shipping, tax, and payment terms are confirmed in a written quote after review. Quotes are valid for the period shown, seven days by default, and may be superseded by a numbered revision.
Work begins only after the required written approval and payment. Changes to geometry, specifications, quantity, date, or fulfillment may require a new quote revision and schedule.
First articles and production runs
A quote may require a paid first article before the full run. Customer approval confirms the documented fit, dimensions, appearance, and other agreed criteria for that revision. Rejection must identify the variance from the written specification; a design change after review may be separately billable.
Saved production parameters support repeatability but do not eliminate normal variation between material lots, machines, colors, or process conditions. A reorder receives a current price and availability review before payment or production.
Materials, tolerances, and intended use
Additive manufacturing has visible layer lines and process-dependent tolerances. Material properties, color, texture, and dimensions can vary. Critical tolerances, threaded inserts, assemblies, environmental exposure, food contact, flame behavior, loading, and regulatory needs must be agreed in writing before production.
Unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise, the customer is responsible for validating that the part is suitable for its intended use. Custom printed parts are not represented as certified, medical, structural, or safety-rated merely because they were manufactured.
Payment, tax, shipping, and disputes
Orders up to $300 generally require full payment; orders above $300 generally require a 50% deposit, with the balance due before pickup or shipping. A quote may set different terms. Net 15 or Net 30 is only available to an approved business account. Tax estimates remain subject to destination and exemption verification.
The customer should report a billing concern promptly and allow a reasonable opportunity to investigate before initiating a payment dispute. Undisputed amounts remain due. Carrier delay and damage are handled under the Shipping & Pickup policy.
Liability framework
To the extent permitted by applicable law, remedies for a proven manufacturing variance are limited to the written remake, repair, credit, or refund terms for the affected work. The final reviewed terms must define exclusions and any liability cap appropriate to the business and must not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
