Cancellations
Request cancellation as soon as possible. Before CAD, material commitment, or production begins, refundable amounts are determined by the accepted quote and payment costs. After work begins, completed CAD, engineering, setup, first-article, material, production, and other committed costs may be nonrefundable.
A production slot is not canceled until ForgeMade 3D confirms the request in writing. A schedule change or quantity reduction may require a revised quote rather than a cancellation.
Custom-order returns
Because parts are manufactured to customer-provided or customer- approved specifications, they generally cannot be returned solely due to a change of mind, incorrect intended use, undisclosed requirement, or a later design preference.
Remake review
If a delivered part appears not to match the written accepted specification, contact us promptly with the part code, affected quantity, description, measurements, and clear photos. Keep all parts and packaging while the review is open.
When a verified manufacturing variance is our responsibility, the proposed remedy may be a corrected remake, repair, replacement, credit, or refund for the affected work. Normal layer appearance, documented tolerance, approved first-article characteristics, material variation, or damage from use does not automatically establish a variance.
First-article decisions
Rejection of a first article should identify the written criterion it did not meet. A corrected production revision may be prepared. Changes to the original requirement are treated as a scope revision and may carry additional CAD, testing, and production charges.
